Painter and printmaker based in New York City

I specialize on linocuts printing, abstract expressionism, figure abstraction and color field, born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and raised in Washington Heights, NY.

As a printmaker I have also worked with etchings, and mono printing with watercolors, painting using acrylics and oils while also using fabric, paper, oil pastels and prints on my canvas.

My artistic journey is an exploration of the human experience, inspired by the intricate connections between emotions, nature, and the world around us. Through my work, I seek to evoke a sense of wonder, curiosity, and introspection in the viewer.

I believe that emotions are the truest expression of our souls, and by unraveling their intricacies, I aim to create a visual language that resonates with others.

My creative process is inherently intuitive, as I let my emotions guide the flow of my brush. Through a combination of vibrant colors, dynamic textures, and subtle gradients, I seek to awaken the senses and evoke an emotional response. I embrace experimentation, often using unconventional materials and techniques to push the boundaries of traditional art forms. This allows me to bring forth a sense of spontaneity and unpredictability into my work, ensuring that each piece is a unique expression of my inner world.

Art, for me, is a form of communication that transcends language barriers. It is a medium through which I hope to forge connections and inspire dialogue. I believe that art has the power to move people, to challenge societal norms, and to provoke thought. By exploring diverse themes and subjects, I aim to stimulate conversation and encourage viewers to question and reflect upon their own experiences.

Ultimately, my goal as an artist is to touch the hearts and minds of those who engage with my work. I hope to create a visual journey that invites viewers to contemplate the world around them, to embrace their emotions, and to foster a deeper connection with themselves and the universe. Through my art, I aspire to make a positive impact, one brushstroke at a time.

I acquired my bachelors degree in studio art with a specialization in painting and printmaking. Graduated Summa Cum Laude and received both Dean’s list and presidential award at graduation at Lehman College.

Currently working as an Elementary school educator while also perusing a full time career in the arts.
